  Une histoire invraisemblable entre une bourge qui a tout et qui s’éprend de son beau fils bad boy. Gare à vous les hommes français machistes et vieux jeu,  les femmes aussi peuvent succomber à l’amour fou, et de faire de leur désir ce qui pardonne même le pire des comportements. Libérer les femmes pour qu’elles ressemblent aux hommes que l’on dénonce? Est-ce cela le féminisme à la française Mme. Bréillat ?

  A film with finely drawn characters who embody all that is real and messy about being human… until the last 10 minutes or so.
  What on earth possessed Gia Coppola to solve, Disney-like, all of the impossible situations that give life to the narrative? Feels like a cop-out. The disappointing ending almost made me forget the intelligent feminist subtext.

  A promising premise is undermined by a ‘Let’s throw it at the wall and see if it sticks’ scattershot screenwriting approach. Lots of potential here, but it’s wasted on illogical plotting and a very poor understanding of how consciousness actually works. 
  Like all satires, it’s a fine line between wisdom and caricature…
