Walk the Line 2005
Pretty linear autobiographic telling of the life of Johnny Cash. There were no real big surprises or grand moments that stood out to me and I honestly didn’t have much to think about afterwards. But I guess I know the life story of a famous and influential musician now so that’s something. Maybe it‘ll come up in a pub quiz someday or something.

My second favourite Tarkovsky movie after Stalker. The more grounded approach to the sci-fi elements aged relatively well but in my opinion the weaknesses of the movie lie in exactly these more „practical“ elements. A few plotholes or at least unexplained inconsistencies sometimes drew me away from the real strengths of this film: Exploring humanity, progress, communication and many more human elements through a very interesting and well thought out sci-fi concept.
