  Waarom had niemand me eerder hierover verteld?!
  Tip: avondje alleen op de bank ff in je hart wroeten met deze film. Romantisch drama met prachtige rauwe (psychotische?) trauma-rand. Denk: Londen, jaren 80, homoseksualiteit, wat-zullen-de-buren-denken, auto-ongeluk, niet-verwerkte pijn, eenzaamheid. Maar dat dan allemaal in flashbacks. Of herinneringen. Hallucinaties. Dagdromen? Zijn de personages überhaupt echt? (Dat is nog eens goede spanning.) En dan ineens is daar liefde, tegen alle verwachtingen in, voor de eerste keer proeft hij geluk. Is dat dan wel…

  Can’t stop thinking about the scene of them as children parting on the way home from school. Him, turning left, staying on the Korean cobble stones. Her, turning right and walking up the stairs, remaining in frame for longer, heading to an unknown but higher and promising future.
