  Araki meets Buffy in a fun, gory romp. Hot women beating up men 🫶🏻

  The highlight for me was the relationship between the two leads. Alice Maio Mackay thrives here, showing the interiority of girlhood in a way that’s referential and proximate.

  “I’m just an outmoded character, you know, the beautiful stranger, slightly sad, slightly mysterious, that haunts one place after another.”

  Not overstating it when I say this movie has given our community so much. The gauzy sensuality of a red scarf thrown over a lamp, the outfits (the sequin dress be fr!!!), the strange cold lighting in the scenes filmed outdoors — all incredible. The score was such a standout and I think might have influenced geoff barrow??
