Cool Hand Luke 1967
it’s comforting to see a man so stolid at times that he borders on autistic, but who at other times cries, laughs, and quips with undeniable vulnerability. luke personifies perseverance in the face of injustice, shows us how important it is to have a little fun, but also represents the harsh reality that one can only bear so much. the whole bunk clearly has a crush on him, and i understand why.
