  Synapse 4k upgrade, enjoyed in Italian for a change of pace. Though entirely satisfied with the blu-ray, the HDR treatment adds 15-20% of color enhancement/enjoyment. Synapse did a lovely job on this release as with Suspiria.

  Neil Diamond songs and Fabio Testi (Michele) case closed. Lots of soothing strings and heroin. Fireside romance, political intrigue, Fabs is about twice the age of his girlfriend who has a young Linda Blair quality making it even more odd for the viewer. Plenty of quick quipping and sarcastic banter to carry the film along nicely. Ideal for a viewer who appreciates decorative glass ashtrays, dark hardwood, roller skating dope peddlers, and copious Neil Diamond.

  A significant and important film not only as a cautionary tale of crossing the abyss where there is in fact no point of return. The layering of emotions from Gariepy demonstrates is masterful if not unexpected that a film with a dire subject matter can evoke a whimsical sadness and moments that match films like Der Fan in visceral response.
