Wanted to like it more and expected to with Jesse and Kieran essentially playing themselves in a comedy but there’s just so many moments where it drags. The ending was incredibly abrupt and while it might be by design in a metaphor where life goes on and some relationships are meant to stay distant, it felt flat for me. If you’re watching this and have ever even grazed over the history of SNL, nothing you watch in this movie is going to be revolutionary or turning over new leaves. It’s an entertaining, well-casted biopic that does a good job keeping you engaged. Bar none the biggest abomination these eyes have ever seen and everyone should watch it strictly for the fact that you think you know what a bad movie is, then you watch this and it changes your view about how bad it can get.
