  watched while drinking Coors banquets and playing woody songs - the way hal ashby intented. David Carradine was incredible, and most importantly hilarious, some of the funniest fucking line deliveries i've ever heard. when woody's about to play that hokey song for the radio and abruptly stops and says, "i've just decided to sing something else" I nearly pissed myself. a perfect road film.

  might be in the minority on this one, but this was a totally appropriate reaction. I mean, his wife almost forgot to turn off the hallway light!

  what a wholly original script, incredibly smart. cliche to say a movie about mass shootings holds up in 2025, but it's hard to ignore what an excellent job this does portraying gun culture in America. loved making the shooter a bland, "aww, shucks" whole milk white guy. Boris was great.

  "i'm just a scared, ugly, useless person"

  this has weirdly become my go to comfort film when i'm in a depressive episode. it captures loneliness and lack of connection in such an honest, touching way. can't really intellectualize it, just makes me feel sane
