Maestro 2023
Every year, there’s always at least one movie that’s really on the nose about “going for an Oscar” and most of the time I can’t stand them but this kinda worked for me.
It’s strange because it holds so many elements of movies that I admire independently.
For example, I love biopics on “torture genius’s”
I love the uses in different colored, grainy film.
I love the 4:3 aspect ratio.
I love long takes and extremely human scenes.
Together, it just didn’t work for me to love it all.Still an interesting sit.
