I’m sure the real Lucius Aelius Aurelius Commodus is rolling in his grave knowing that Joaquin Phoenix portrayed him in a Best Picture Award winning film as an emperor who not only doesn’t get any, but is so down bad he’s willing to try and get with his sister. Sci-Fi films are cool, but they’re even cooler when you feel as if there’s a possibility they’re not fiction at all. Christopher Nolan does just that with Interstellar. Stunning visuals, incredible action, and the science we know of was right.
