FUCKING brilliant... no wonder Ari Aster won't shut the hell up about it. Helen Mirren was, is, and will always be brilliant and beautiful--I think this is my new favorite performance from her. Just, I'm literally almost speechless by how much I adored this movie on my first watch.

Terrible The Texas Chainsaw Massacre installment but a decent slasher. The folks in charge of bringing a new installment to the big screen don’t understand what makes a good TTCM film… interesting kills, sure… brooding & serious leather face? Not so much. And it forgets the most interesting aspect of all past entries (good or bad) THE FAMILY. A Texas Chainsaw Massacre without the family is like a Halloween without Michael’s white shape mask or his arms! It just doesn’t work.
