  The first half of this was really good. I was very much ready for it to end well before it did, though.

  Coralie Fargeat is a talented filmmaker. I think I liked her first movie, Revenge, more, but both movies suffer from her turning the gore up to 11 when it should have been at 5 (The Substance, in particular, is guilty of this).

  Btw, anyone else feel like they were watching a Darren Aronofsky movie? It felt like Requiem for a Dream with some Black Swan mixed in. The good parts, anyway.
