It’s got great intentions and a powerful message. “Nakakaputangina” to see a reflection of what’s really happening. Can’t help myself from thinking that we’re eternally trapped in a corrupt system that we are very well aware of but we cannot destroy.
I like the color grading and the acting overall. The script could have been better by making it more organic–it’s noticeable that the talents of the cast were more seen during spontaneous scenes.

I’m amazed how it feels so classic even though it’s a modern remake. The cinematography, editing, and score were successful in delivering a nightmarish feeling and atmosphere. The cast was great, especially Lily-Rose!
A side note, this reminded me of what I read about how melancholia was gendered in the early centuries.
