this movie deadass inspired me to go into linguistics and i feel like as much as this is a timefck movie it is at its core a language movie because it shows the power of being able to learn to understand. i love the way amy adams’ character thinks and connects with literally otherworldly beings. also amy adams is beautiful and a fantastic actor.
