I took a whole bunch of notes while watching this for an essay I’m writing so I’ll just drop that here.
The opening scene, sunrise, a new day, a fresh start, the beginning of something new. The last shot in the opening montage is Simba on top Pride Rock
Scar’s intro, a mouse emerges from the darkness, Scar is mostly in shadows or not in direct sunlight, the opposite of when we see Simba.

I've always had a constant debate with myself on which Nolan film is his best. It's always come down to either Interstellar or Inception. I've tried settling this debate multiple times before but have never been able to truly come to a final conclusive decision on the internal debate. Operation Avalanche 2016
First things first, that car chase has no right being as good as it is. It comes almost completely out of nowhere and it fucking rocks. And the fact that it's all done in what I assume is a oner?? It's insane.
Secondly, that third act was somewhere I did not see this movie going and yet it somehow nailed it.
