Had some wonderfully charged and bold cinematography, but like
What?
Crude, rough, and borderline vile at times. Franco paints in broad strokes, relying heavily, and rightly, on the brilliance of McCarthy's prose. What begins to emerge through layer after layer of mud, snot, and filth, is a grisly visage of a man so apart from the world, understood in his own mind but nowhere else.
Scott Haze deserves Oscar consideration, but will very likely be overlooked considering the tone and content of the film.
