Beth’s laugh track was my favorite part.

More like an Extremely Groovy Movie amiright

Also, finally found the deeply-buried formative disco influence on my drag persona.

I have been in a 3-day long depression about the role of power and money’s influence over cinema. How it’s no longer reserved for romcoms and marvel movies, but how it’s weaseled its way into the cinephile hive-mind. The Emperor Coppola wears New Clothes and I had to watch everyone bow to his naked ass for two and a half hours.

Polanski ironically captures the horror of the female experience. Or maybe I should say Mia Farrow does. I didn’t know Ruth Gordon won an Oscar but I am so happy for her.

Also upon my second watch I realized that this movie really built the foundation of the “old people are creepy” trope. I mean, the reason it’s so startling that they’re witches is because everyone used to trust old people. But now an old person is inherently creepy. Or worse, an aged body = body horror. But that’s another tangent.
