    Nosferatu

    ★★★★½

I never really got all the hype around Eggers before, but GODDAMN, I get it now. Nosferatu is a banger of a horror movie.

This is as atmospheric as the original, using lighting and shadowing to pull us into Eggers' gothic Germany, the cinematography is brilliant. The score may be one of my favourites ever, but only time will tell. All the performances are spellbinding, Lily Rose-Depp knocks it out the park, she's phenomenal, and I do not use that…

I know that my pain is unexceptional so I don't feel the need to burden everyone with it.

I don't quite know what to say, the more I let A Real Pain simmer in me, the more speechless I am. Bravo to the whole cast and crew. Jesse Eisenberg did such a great job with the writing and the directing. The film has this quiet intensity all throughout which is both comforting and distressing all at once.

    There's a reason…

    Blue Velvet

    ★★★★½

Blue Velvet is a weird, intense, and unforgettable trip, David Lynch makes it feel like a fever dream in a way only he can do.

The performances are amazing. Kyle MacLachlan is great, Isabella Rossellini is really good and Dennis Hopper is pure nightmare fuel.

The cinematography is stunning, the storytelling pulls you in, and the whole thing just feels unsettling in the best way. This film still has me thinking about it long after I've watched it.

    ★★★

Feels like a Trainspotting knock off for 'anti-woke' blokes that really think you can't say anything anymore.

Genuinely thought it'd be worse based off of the reviews, but to be honest, I didn't hate it. I quite enjoyed it actually. A decent way to spend a night, but doesn't leave me with a lot to say.

So many thoughts, it was amazing. I'm gonna keep the review short as I don't want to give too much away, I'll write a more informative review if/when I rewatch it (depending on Omicron).

Wow, this was so much better having the context of the last hour before I walked in. The Japan act is awesome and I loved Caine, who was probably my favourite character of the movie.

The action sequences are the best they've ever been, with this franchise once again proving why stunt men and women need more recognition. The film looks amazing and the score only…
