  Ive never seen a movie capture its settings so well

  Yes this movie has some problematic elements, but I don’t think it matters in the grand scheme of things. This is not a Vietnam war film. If it was, its cartoonishly evil and orientalist portray of the VC would be problematic. Moreover, there is no evidence that anyone played Russian roulette in Vietnam. However, this movie could take place in the civil war, ww1, Korea, Iraq or wherever. It dosent…
