  Vivian maier is one of the greatest street photographers of all time, and her story is so fascinating. That being said this documentary was not great lmao. The dude who found her photos is kinda insufferable and I found a lot of the discussions to be disrespectful and condescending. Who cares why she didn’t share her photos, I think that’s one of the coolest things about her is that she didn’t seem to have any drive to seek anyone else’s…

  AWESOME. Need to finish the Kaufman filmography asap now. A perfect companion piece to adaptation I think. The draw of being someone else, and how easy it is to lose yourself when you begin to think that way. Such a perfect blend of goofy surrealism and depressing realities. John Malkovich is awesome.

  Bitterly bitterly disappointed. This movie was amazing for all of about 20 minutes before it devolved into a bland, boring, long, neutered version of a Yorgos Lanthimos movie that painstakingly told us every point it was trying to make and left nothing for the viewer to rationalize for themselves (something his other movies were phenomenal at doing the opposite of).   Yeah idk the first half up until the first reveal was fun and I enjoyed a lot, but it just went completely downhill in the last half. Dragged on too long, was boring, predictable, corny, and just frustratingly confusing. Barry was definitely the best part of the movie but his character was not written particularly well and I just didn’t get it idk. Felt like it was edgy for the sake of being edgy and just a meh ending. Wish…
