Great detective story, and unexpectedly great performance from Pattinson (I say unexpectedly from a place of bias, but obviously in recent years he’s shown off his range phenomenally). One of the best Pixar movies I’ve seen in years. Though it’s grounded in a very specific cultural background with a fantastical twist, it was a beautiful representation of someone who is coming into themselves despite the wants and expectations of their family. Can’t wait to see it again.
This movie was both hilarious and anxiety inducing. Felt really grounded and real despite the situation the main character was in. Though short, it felt excellently paced and worked really well.
