  This was SO much more David Lynch and SO much less Twin Peaks. I’m not so sure about this one.

  Hunter was right, hard watch and not due to the runtime.

  Excellent, excellent, excellent.

  Gruesome, beautiful, and very human. I think this movie plays at the disparity between audience and character knowledge like no other. It’s like watching two trains running in opposite directions and no way of stopping the collision.

  Bonus points if you can count how many Xs are built into the framing and set design.

  Maybe the best cop movie of all time

  Soundtrack crazy. They got JID??? 

  Not usually much of an action movie guy, but I actually really really liked this. Love a good unique action movie kill, and this had a few. Some unnecessary shaky camera bits but honestly beautiful overall.
