  🎵sometimes it feels like I’ve got a war in my mind I want to get off but I keep riding the ride🎵  - Lana / Me when I started asking how this movie was going to maintain momentum very early in its runtime

  Felt like a movie about if the worst person you could get cornered talking to at a party was given a compound and a budget. Which is unsettling to think about!

  good casting. Some interesting philosophical content…

  I liked it! But I, like many, have a lot of nostalgia doing a lot of work.

  Some great performances. Moments of impressive use of a big budget.

  sometimes feel the direction is tailored towards making a compelling trailer rather than the needs of the scene at hand. Wish we still relied on human syncopation to provide the wonder of a musical sequence in the modern musical - and a little less on cgi.

  At least half a star to Amy alone.

  Ambitious and presents interesting, big ideas. Unwilling to lean in and fully commit to being any one thing (which is perhaps a critique about a shallow view of motherhood). But I wish it felt a bit more cohesive. Or committed.

  Certain moments really worked! And I’d do anything for the slightly severe spirit guide librarian (as I would in most instances)
