The Beguiled 2017
Um Coppola's lace virginal Petra Collins-esque aesthetic doesn't save her AGAIN. I had no attachment to any of the characters and the films blatant black erasure took so much depth out of it. Coppola will always try to make heroic problematic white gals just bc they have an outstanding wardrobe in the true neoliberal spirit. but 3/5 for visuals omg
