  ok was the acting, final dress, and over emphasized writing about socioeconomic status not good? yes.

  but i think those aspects build onto this stories narratives about being a high schooler. we all are terribly awkward and judge people without ever speaking a word to them. we all dress and act apart of a group that makes us comfortable. we all feel as though we fall in love with a person that made us feel special in high school, this movie feels utterly universal.

  this movie got high school perfectly, but everything else it tries to over achieve, not really.

  great thriller with some superb writing and acting.

  but it was just lacking that oomph for me. that shock value i need from a thriller didn't seem to be there. 

  that end sequence was fucking sick though.

  finally got around to watching this man oh man.

  masterclass of cinematography, acting, and general design. this victorian era execution drops you straight into their world. it also feels so theatrical holding steady shots, then letting the actors do their work. 

  much enjoyable!
