Rip my heart out of my chest, mince it up and feed it back to me.
Could’ve been a Black Mirror episode. I really enjoyed the first hour or so (especially visually— the directing felt so vibrant and detailed and unsettling in an engaging way), but I feel like at least the last hour of the movie was unnecessary to get the point across. I’m so nauseous. I also felt like they were spoonfeeding everything to the audience— there wasn’t room to wonder what would happen next because as soon as something big happened, they’d rewind…
Marlon Brando is hot but needs to relax. And Blanche is such a drama queen but intentional or not, most of her lines cracked me up. Props to this movie for going not at all in the direction I thought it was going to.
This movie is so adorable and it got me emotional thinking about how we should all be embracing our inner child no matter how old we are, work is boring and we should all have trampolines. I am morally obligated to deduct 1/2 star for the way Elizabeth Perkins looks at him *after* he turns back into his 13 year old self. That shit ain’t right.
