One of the best movies I’ve seen. I’m bit quite sure what the cannibalism is supposed to represent but I assume some sort of addiction that forces you to be detached from all of your friends and family. I also think at the end it represents the uncontrollable and raw feelings that one might have for someone they are irrevocably in love with.
