  Actually pretty decent, it’s got its moments of absolute ridiculousness but as a threat worthy of a film it’s decently engaging. Battles are cool, the character development is eehh and it doesn’t focus on the entirety of the cast but it’s still a great time.

  Star Trek: Insurrection 1998

  A lot lamer in story compared to First Contact, really not a worth while reason for “insurrection” against the Federation. It’s just kinda lame.

  In terms of it being racist or whatever, I can’t see that as anymore than just lazy/pathetically inept casting. It’s a group of people being removed from their home so a bigger entity can harvest resources. Makes you think.

  A pretty remarkable blend of 3D and 2D animation. The alternate world of U makes for some breathtaking imagery and silly animation ideas. A few story beats largely at the start feel a touch janky but it has a pretty heartfelt and natural conclusion.

  Fantastic. It’s almost like an anime with how over the top and insane it is. (The random dance breaks confirm this). It’s an absolutely brilliant parody while having a personality not defined at all by being a parody. Top notch.
