First time actually going to a film fest (was Glasgow Film Festival) and was really nice to see this. I always say this about film but this time especially I genuinely feel that it has to be one of the most unique things I’ve ever watched.

Really fun and cosy animation, really cool voice acting as well. I loved the sounds in this film, everything felt so small but in a very fitting way, and the score and soundtrack were…

One of my favourite cinema experiences. Saw this on 70mm which was phenomenal, looked absolutely stunning, I can definitely see why Corbet intended it to be seen this way. All the little imperfections and grainy feel make it feel even more vintage, fitting better with the time period. Don’t really have anything else to add but I will just say that if Adrien Brody doesn’t win Best Actor I will be pretty outraged lmao. Also Guy Pierce probably won’t win but he really very definitely should. Best Picture too obvs

“Have you seen that new show, Dark Road?”
“Yeah, watched a couple episodes, couldn’t get into it.”

    Everybody needs a Kris.

Really really liked this, starts off as your standard mundane British drama but then gets a lot more depressing. Not a pleasant watch, definitely a good one though. I managed to feel a lot of the isolation and anxiety the film was trying to get me to feel. A brilliant central performance, I just weirdly really like these type of films.

A hoot. Bursting with creativity and ambition, lots of heartfelt moments. The no-budget style actually complements the narrative really well in a way I wasn’t expecting. We also got a short in-person introduction from one of the stars in our cinema which was awesome.

Moustache man gave me one of the biggest scares ever.

First Lynch film, great to see this in cinemas. Surprisingly funny, very cool, great ending.

Utterly absurd but in the best way. Haven’t laughed this much in a while. This is much more up my alley than Longlegs.
