this is oshii's depiction of his faith, perhaps a lost and confused one. while it beautifully portraits christianity, it also portraits how oshii sees it as an illusion after all. 5 stars because it is a very well-made, full of references and visually beautiful film. tho i do disagree with oshii - God has not forgotten about us. repent
