  One of the most debilitating documentaries I’ve ever seen. Just how fast can one restructure a narrative. Apparently as it unfolds literally in a millisecond.

  My mom audibly gulped when that final reveal came out.

  Cinematography is top notch and I have renewed appreciation for the score. It has no business being this good

  “You were my great, consuming love.”

  For such a hard series, the content was treated so carefully and beautifully. Seeing Tim so strong even in that final shot was amazing but so so painful. 

  While the characters and episodes were strong, I think the biggest struggle for the show was how to properly iron out each decade and each story. I would’ve personally loved to have seen even a little more of Marcus and Frankie; I get they’re supporting characters…

  The fact that the bath scene preceded the line "I was a lesbian for a while, you know, but it was all a bit too wet for me in the end. Men are so lovely and dry” is peak cinema. 

  Would this have been more shocking if I watched it when it came out? Yeah. Was it still shocking? Yeah a bit. Was it as bad as I expected? Not really. Still really enjoyable and crazy. 

  Felt a bit pretentious…
