Lots of great gorey practical effects and fun kills and weapons - unfortunately there are multiple scenes from perspectives other than the killer and they ruin the vibe completely, mostly due to annoying dialogue.
We don’t need the killers whole backstory in a monologue from some annoying character!! Just continue to drop hints and let the audience put it together!!

basically "what if the fnaf movie was fun"

biggest downside was definitely the mascot costumes being unbelievable as animatronics - not once through the movie did they feel like anything but people in costumes (obviously the budget was a limiting factor). this movie deserved the level of puppetry and animatronics that fnaf got.

some creative kills and (mostly) great practical effects. didn't take itself too seriously either. fun watch!

just finished watching martyrs (2008) before this, and wow there is such a difference between a director who wants to tell a story involving violence towards women vs a director who seemingly only made a movie so he could get some professionally made porn of his violence-against-women fetish.

i've seen trauma referred to as one of the hardest to watch/nastiest movies ever but honestly if you want a better grossout experience, just do run the gauntlet or something.

even without the mistreatment of indigenous people and animal deaths, this movie is terrible. "aren't these filmmaker characters terrible people??" wow so profound. it was definitely worth abusing real people for this shit. yep.
