A lot more tragic than I was expecting; I felt heartbroken for her, she wanted her Cinderella story no matter how naive that might have been. The Russian ‘henchmen’ were pretty entertaining. I was shocked and confused by the end but I suppose that’s the only way she knows how to show affection? Her default? And she’s frustrated with the way she handles situations and what put her in this situation in the first place? Idk man, but respect to Igor’s character, so genuine, so Ivan’s polar opposite

Blink Twice 2024
This movie was so much better than I was expecting. More modern than I anticipated from the cover which was a pleasant surprise because it tackles sensitive topics like sexual violence in modern contexts that can feel relevant and true to modern happenings. Everything is tied together so perfectly in the end for a lot of full circle/foreshadowing moments looking back. The flower/snake motifs contrasted each other perfectly in a that is subtle but done with purpose. This movie also flips the common tropes over on their head to empower women despite manipulative circumstances, making for a very shocking but satisfying ending.
