  this fits into bong joon ho’s overall filmography so well, i can't speak for his earlier stuff since i have yet to see that but Mickey17 feels like you put his last 3 theatrical releases and jumbled them up together thematically and tonally.

  kinda incredible that this was filmed in 2022 because it reflects the 2025 political landscape so well. it's such an awesome satire, all of its convictions are very clear and proudly presented without a hint of subtlety…

  always have a hard time articulating myself about this one but i’m giving it a go now.

  first reformed is such an intoxicating film to me, shot simply in a way that feels sterile with close ups on excellent performances (especially ethan hawke) that effortlessly carry the weight of the screenplay’s despair.

  kinda predictable! kinda shot like a hulu original! had a blast with it nonetheless. really liked the cast in this and everywhere they went with the concept, awesome popcorn flick it made me genuinely gasp and subsequently choke on some popcorn.

  jack quaid also visited the screening which was very cool.
