I saw someone released a colorized version of the film on YouTube and had to check it out. It definitely gives it a different vibe, feels less distant. It being in black and white made it seem more like it’s capturing a particular moment in time, and the distance creates a different viewing experience in that way. Still enjoyed it, it was cool seeing how it looked in color.

Wicked 2024
I grew up listening to this musical, and I saw it once as a kid and another time in middle school. Wicked is a very impactful story in my life, and I remember wanting there to be a movie when I was a kid. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s performances were amazing. They were born to play those roles, and may have been even better than the actresses who originated them. It manages to be faithful to the play yet still it’s own story, a sign of a good adaptation. A great film, bound to be a classic.
