Unfortunately it just doesn't have the juice. Filled with political reference and flavor with nothing substantial to say. Dysfunctional family dynamics between characters that are shallowly written with shallow history between them. Class warfare where a poor man gets off on watching people suffer and we are left to root for a family of selfish rich parasites.
It is a serviceable movie as far as filming, pacing, and acting, which rises above the standard slasher for me. But with a concept that implies bigger ideas than this movie was actually willing to tackle.
