I really wasn’t sure at first, but it grew on me, especially in the second half. The dynamics between characters were all pretty entertaining, and there was a lot more comedy than I was initially expecting.
Mikey Madison was able to showcase an impressive range of emotions, and I can see why she picked up the Oscar. I don’t think it’s the most in-depth character study, but it’s a really solid movie, and I bumped it up half a star for the ending alone.

I really liked this one. It’s both a character study and a travel movie that is heightened by very good performances. It has depth, but I also enjoyed the simplicity of the story.

It’s a pretty wild movie with stress and cliché swirling together. I had fun, and if I give it an objective review it hits more than it misses, in my opinion, but not by much.

     A cautionary tale about...being polite??

Rami Malek put a LOT of effort into his portrayal of Freddie Mercury. But... it wasn’t good. He didn’t do well. The editing of the movie is trash. Pretty much every post-production aspect of it, is trash. Why is Bryan Singer still allowed to do anything? Why is this movie nominated, for anything? Nostalgia is powerful, biopics are really something, but this movie is more fun to ultimately laugh at than watch, if you care about movies. The middle is decent, and I enjoy the recording sessions and some of the emotional beats, but I think this movie just missed it’s mark as a whole.
