  Nic Cage delivers for this quirky A24 flick. Story is gripping and backed by great visuals supported by a great cast. Jumps between being funny and unbelievable cringe and horribly violent in a blink of an eye on multiple occasions. Clever use of sound throughout helps to deliver this unusual story with impact to great success. Another great Nic Cage film to watch.

  Slow to start but quickly immerses you into a world full of character and divide with some District 9 and Japanese film making vibes. A couple of "convenient" plot twists are one of my very few gripes with this film and some parts are very drawn out making the run time a little too long for my liking. Fantastic acting from JDW, MYV and of course Watanabe deliver the well rounded and emotional story with a quality that accompanies the stunning visuals and fantastic score to blow you away. Great film.
