  Excellent series.

  Refreshing to see a realistic anime set in postwar Germany.
  The writing is stellar and the character development for the entire cast throughout the 75 episodes is some of the best I have ever witnessed.

  Johan Liebert is one of the most frightening villains ever created.

  I love how despite how dark this series can get, it is ultimately a celebration of hope, purity and humanity.

  Absolute masterpiece. It is not for everyone.

  My favorite aspect of this series is how the geography of this world plays a fundamental part in its mystery. The writing of the characters and factions involved are solid. The ending is one of the bleakest I have ever seen. I have had nightmares about it.
