It felt weird rooting for the protagonist in this one, specially after it was revealed she caused the whole car accident thing subsequently offing her partner, but wow that ending was good.
Also sequels that take place directly after the 1st films ending are bomb.
5 stars for the ending alone. Great 2nd installments are rare, but not for Sam Raimi apparently.
Osgood Perkins’ marketing team deserves a raise for how well they generate hype for very okay horror movies.
I dont think this movie is terrible at all, its really enjoyable if you don’t take it too seriously. I mean c’mon the source material is Stephen King.
Lastly, the Vista’s 35mm presentation looked great. Monkey close up shots went crazy.
