  The opening 10 minutes are simply beautiful and heart-warming. And there's a cat--yes, I'm biased, but then again you don't see a cat travelling on the subway every day, do you?

  What I adored about this film is how easily the Coen brothers' direction and Oscar Isaac's performance make you crawl into Llewyn Davis' skin and care for him. His losses, his failures, his pain were mine to bear, and yet, you don't reach the point of pathetic pity.
