this movie is so racist and misogynist, with a dash of homophobia (cmon... the literal dorian gray in a straight romance... but since hes evil its fine villainism to be a bit of a dandy).

okay so. the vampire parts are great and really enjoyable!
the innkeeper character is really antisemitic, way beyond coincidental and just actively horribly malicious. it was awful. hes also portrayed as a sex pest and other horrible things.
the vampire son is really funny and so on, but hes gay because hes evil, and he assaults the main character boy alfred (even if its kind of glossed over).
also, huge misogyny alert, and of course we needed a disabled henchman…
