    both characters are on the opposite ends of the spectrum. one who clings tighter and obsessively tries to hold everything securely with knots - she's in shambles and disarray the same way the ropes are

    on the other hand, he who strays - no matter how much she tries to rope him in with her, he severes the intricacies of the knots that tie them up together. it starts with the little things at first and the metaphorical disturbance grows bigger and even a meaningless kiss does not serve as a bandaid for the growing turbulence.
