So “Joe’s” (not clear that was Eastwood’s character’s actual name) purpose in coming to San Miguel was to kill off everyone on both of the warring sides just to leave and have the whole thing play out again once he left? Oh well, plot integrity wasn’t exactly this film’s intent and the gunfight scenes are tough to match.

So even though Travis Bickle (De Niro’s character in Taxi Driver) was a racist, pedophilic psychopath whose ideal first date began at a porn theater, even he would likely look down at Tony Manero and his gang of degenerates as Neanderthal. For Rewatchables fans, What aged the best?—Travotla’s dancing prowess; What aged the worst?—Everything else, including the soundtrack. I know Staying Alive is iconic, but disco still sucks.
