Waited to watch this until after awards season because I know I’d be pissed if this didn’t win anything. I’m afraid I was right. I love Dune 😭 I know I said this about Mad Max: Fury Road, but if I could marry a movie, it’d be that one or this one

The opening scenes of Arrakis alone hooked me. Everything about this movie is so beautiful. There’s nothing I can probably say that someone hasn’t already said, but I would still love to express my undying love for this and Dune: Part One. This bangs, and I will be rewatching until Part Three.

Like Lady Bird but for Asians.

It looks incredible, and makes you feel like you’re in 2008 living with Chris. I felt happy, sad, enraged, and lonely with him through out the whole film. Joan Chen also ate down as his mother and I fear she is so gorgeous.

It is so wonderfully written and I love how Chris and his family’s struggles transcend generations. It’s so painfully relatable and I feel I’ve seen parts of each character throughout my own…
