Burn After Reading 2008
This was a second watch for me. This holds up. Obviously great cast. John malkovich is amazing. I love the frenetic energy of brad pitt and rhe clulessness of george Clooney. Feances McDormand is always amazing. This is laugh out loud funny. Grwat watch.

A Serious Man 2009
This is a slow burn, not like the in your face of Fargo. It has all the elements of a Coen brothers movie… exquisite writing and well developed characters ie the loveable loser Larry and the hysterical Sy Ableman. Its leas laugh out loud funny but more subtle. And the ending is perfect.

For me, Jenny and Forrest should have stayed in 1994. As much as I was rooting for this reunion with Robert Zemeckis and these two great actors this fell flat for me. I am the most sentimental and maudlin person I know and it was too sentimental and maudlin for me. I liked that it all takes place in one set and I loved the time period references (shout out aerobics in front of the tv! Yes we did this.)…
