  if the books were a fantastic dream that left an astounding, lasting emotional impact on you... Then this movie would be the equivalent of explaining that dream to someone, and having to hurry and drop all the details so it doesn't take hours to explain, but none of the magic ends up coming across anymore, so you just have to toss the subject aside and refuse to think about it anymore
