A beautiful landscape isn’t sufficient to hold up this badly stitched together plot. Mostly boring and without any real threat. A few jump scares and a predictable character arc.

    What if instead…

A remote fishing station run by a widowed Eva is tormented by the undead presence of her husband. A spirit she sympathizes with and protects. The men of the station starve and face brutal weather, and now their beloved boss cannot discern reality.
    What’s missing from this story…

I’m writing this review in real time because I can’t believe how awful it is.
Nothing happens. The characters are flat and lifeless. There are only shreds of good writing and structure. Is this how empty we are supposed to feel about influencer culture? Far away from normal life? A passive observer witnessing the careless existence of fake people?
    I must be missing something.
    And it has potential.
You know me, always looking for something more and weird. Make the whole movie hand held camera. All closeups. Better sound design. Something, anything to enhance a kernel of a good idea for a movie.

I was disappointed. I believe the film could have gone further into the realm of weird. For me, if you’re going to make a film about bird/human hybrids, go all the way. Show me a bird eating a human. A wicked transformation sequence. Something more. For me, this film could have been more. Also, there were too many plot lines going on.
