  “So let’s cut the mini moves and the bullshit and get on with this big romance!”

  The definition of a movie that rips. I like to imagine that the 1980/81 Chicago in The Blues Brothers and Thief Are connected. Michael Mann was placed on earth to write scenes in diners about career criminals explaining their personal philosophies as to why they are dicks. Mann really made a career about competent professionals at work and it’s never not exciting. James Caan despite what Robert Prosky says, is that guy.
