Really enjoyed this film. I thought it was hilarious but dark. I understood how complicated adults make life to be, yet when put so simply by a toddler in an adult body, life is pretty simple. We somehow seem to make it all so complicated.
Seeing Lisbon was almost a psychedelic experience, but isn’t all new things a bit psychedelic for a kid. My interpretation of psychedelics are that they alter your perspective and perception of reality. So for a kid like Bella, the wonder of the new changed her perceptions of reality, which we could see through the distorted town and colorful sky
